About this game
DESCENT is a downhill mountain-bike time trial. 6 kilometres of hand-routed trail and 400 metres of vertical drop: berms, rock gardens, root sections, jump lines and a final sprint. The bike is simulated for real โ progressive fork and shock, per-wheel grip, load transfer, pumping and air control. Read the trail, carry speed through the berms, keep the wheels on dirt, and take down your personal best split by split. Chase the clock in Timed Runs or explore the hillside in Free Ride.
How to play
Keyboard: W/S or arrows โ pedal and brake, A/D โ lean, Space โ pump/jump, R โ restart, Esc โ pause. Gamepad is supported. On the descent, braking before a corner and leaning through it is faster than dragging the brakes. Pump the backsides of rollers to gain speed without pedalling. Crashes cost seconds, not the run โ get back on and finish. The default track is the ranked one: only it feeds the leaderboard.
